It’s impossible to watch the current events of the world without experiencing a 24hr a day live stream feed of bad news. In light of terrorism, tragedy, and economic decline, it’s easy to get discouraged and lose sight of the Good News found only in the Word of God. The International Congress on Preaching theme is Preaching Hope in an Age of Fear. We hope to equip you with the tools you need to preach hope in spite of never ending threat to peace. A remarkable team of speakers will address this theme through talks and workshops, and you’ll be blessed by inspiring worship.
The speakers include:
Leslie Holmes is Provost and John H. Leith Professor of Pastoral Theology and Preaching and Dean of the Institute for Reformed Worship at Erskine Theological Seminary.
Michael Quicke is Emeritus Professor of Preaching at Northern Seminary, Lombard, Illinois. He is the former Principal of Spurgeon’s College,10th in line with Charles Haddon Spurgeon.
Robert Smith, Jr. serves as Charles T. Carter Professor of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama, where he teaches Christian Preaching.
Dave Stone is senior pastor at Southeast Christian Church which has campuses in Louisville and Crestwood, KY, as well as Jefferson, IN.
Stephen Rummage is the senior pastor of Bell Shoals Baptist Church, a multi-campus church with over 9,000 members in Brandon, Florida. He is also host of a radio teaching ministry, Moving Foward.
Ralph Douglas West serves as founder and senior pastor of The Church Without Walls in Houston, Texas which now embraces 24,000 people in three locations.
