Reverend Dr. Lawrence Gordon lives in Charleston, SC. He is a pastor in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, serving in that capacity for 30 years and currently the Senior Pastor of Greater Macedonia in Charleston, SC. Dr. Gordon has held various positions in the South Carolina Annual Conference and is currently the Chairman of the South Carolina Annual Conference Board of Examiners.

Dr. Gordon along with the congregation of Greater Macedonia just completed a major building project and successfully relocated the church from downtown Charleston to a spacious 6.37 acres site in the Suburb of West Ashley.

Dr. Gordon has an Associate Degree in Public Service from Trident Technical College, a Bachelor Degree in Organization Management from Voorhees College, a Master Degree in Management from Webster University, a Master of Divinity Degree from the Interdenominational Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary. He has served in the past as an Adjunct Professor at Erskine College.

He is veteran of the United States Army and a Civil Service Retiree from the United States Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection.

Dr. Gordon is married to Patrisha E. Gordon and they have three adult children, Yvette, Euquan, and Derek and three grandchildren, Deja, De’Ajinay and Derek.
