Dr. Smith is Associate Professor of Bible and Religion at Erskine College’s undergraduate school. He was born and raised in England; he came to America (Philadelphia) in 1992 for graduate studies. He earned his Th.M. in Old Testament from Westminster Theological Seminary, and his Ph.D. in New Testament (also from Westminster). His seminary education kindled his life-long interest in tracing the unfolding drama of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation. Before joining the faculty of Erskine College, Dr. Smith taught New Testament for twenty years at various seminaries, including Erskine, Westminster, Redeemer, and Missional Training Center.
